After July 2021, the 2.3.x release line will no longer receive quality updates, or user guide updates. PHP 7.3 reaches end of support in December 2021 and Adobe Commerce 2.3.x reaches end of support in September 2022. PayPal Credit

The information on this page is intended for Adobe Commerce 2.3 customers who are on an extended support contract. The Adobe Commerce Merchant Documentation for current releases is published on the Adobe Experience League.

PayPal Credit offers your customers quick access to financing, so they can buy now and pay over time, at no additional cost to you. You are not charged when customers choose PayPal Credit, and you pay only your normal PayPal transaction fee. To learn more, see PayPal Credit on the PayPal website.

Give your sales a boost when you advertise financing. PayPal helps turn browsers into buyers with financing with PayPal Credit. Your customers can pay over time, while you get paid up front — at no additional cost to you. Use PayPal free banner ads that let you advertise PayPal Credit financing as a payment option when your customers check out with PayPal. The PayPal Advertising Program has been shown to generate additional purchases and increase average purchase sizes by 15% or more.

You can easily add free, ready-made banner ads to pages of your site and the PayPal Credit button to your shopping cart during checkout to remind your customers that financing is readily available.

Payment methods that can use PayPal Credit

For US merchants, PayPal Credit is enabled by default for the PayPal Express Checkout payment option. To disable it for this payment method, see the Features section of PayPal Express Checkout configuration.

PayPal Credit is disabled by default for the other PayPal payment solutions, but can be enabled in the payment method configuration:

Important: Before you configure PayPal Credit for your Magento store, make sure it is enabled in your PayPal Merchant Account.
