Configuring Visual Merchandiser

The Visual Merchandiser configuration determines the attributes that can be used in the merchandising window, the minimum stock threshold, and identifies the attributeA characteristic or property of a product; anything that describes a product. Examples of product attributes include color, size, weight, and price. used for color, and the order of color values.


General Options

To configure Visual Merchandiser:

1. On the AdminThe password-protected back office of your store where orders, catalog, content, and configurations are managed. sidebarThe right or left column of a two-column page layout., tap Stores. Then under Settings, choose Configuration.
2. In the panel on the left, under Catalog, choose Catalog.
3. Expand the Visual Merchandising Options section. Then, do the following:
a. In the Attributes for Category Rules list, select each attribute that you want to make available for visual merchandising. To choose multiple items, hold down the Ctrl key, and click each item.
b. Enter the Minimum Stock Threshold for a product to appear in the Visual Merchandiser window.
c. Enter the Color Attribute Code. The default value is color. If your catalog uses a different attribute, enter the attribute name in lowercase.
d. In the Color Order box, enter each color value on a separate line and in sequence, to determine the priority of each color.
4. When complete, tap Save Config.
