All orders have an order status that is associated with a stage in the order processing workflow. You can see the status of an order by clicking the control at the top of the Status column.
Your store has a set of predefined order status and order state settings. A few of the order status settings reference specific payment providers such as PayPal or Ogone. The state describes the position of an order in the workflow.
